Training & background
Dr. Stern trained at some of the field's leading institutions for the study and treatment of anxiety, including doctoral and post-doctoral clinical training at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders (CARD) at Boston University, Payne Whitney Clinic at Weill Cornell Medical College, and The American Institute for Cognitive Therapy.
During her doctoral training at CARD, Dr. Stern studied and conducted clinical research under Dr. David Barlow, a pioneer in the treatment of anxiety disorders. Dr. Stern earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology at Harvard College, where she focused on research in the fields of Developmental Psychology, Social Psychology, and Experimental Psychopathology.
Dr. Stern's foundation in clinical research and the science of psychology shapes how she works, teaching her clients strategies grounded in best practices and evidence-based approaches.
